Company overview
NeuroView Technology is an Englewood, New Jersey medical device company developing continuous brain-monitoring technology. Founded in 2017 by clinicians with backgrounds in epilepsy and neurosurgery, the company is led by CEO Scott Verner. Its initial focus is measuring seizure burden in people with epilepsy, particularly drug-resistant epilepsy.
Its NVT BVS, short for Brain Vital Sign, is a small implant designed to record electroencephalography, or EEG, from beneath the scalp and outside the skull. The platform combines the implant with data transmission, signal processing and clinician-guided analytics to provide a longitudinal record of brain activity between clinical visits.
NVT BVS remains investigational and is not available for sale. NeuroView is preparing for a pivotal clinical trial and an FDA De Novo submission. The company also identifies possible future applications in dementia, depression, movement disorders and other neurological conditions; these remain potential extensions rather than validated or approved uses.
