MedTechIndex Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

MedTechIndex is operated by Endura Growth Partners, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit medtechindex.com, subscribe to the MedTechIndex Briefing, contact us, or appear in our published research.

Information you provide

Briefing subscriptions. When you sign up, we collect your email address and your role if you choose to provide it. We also record your signup time and location within the site, the consent language you accepted, your email confirmation, and subscription administration records. We use these details to deliver the Briefing, understand our readership, and respect your subscription choices.

We send a confirmation email before adding you to the Briefing mailing list. Signing up does not subscribe you to separate Endura Growth Partners marketing. You can unsubscribe using the link in a Briefing email or contact us for help.

Contact and correction requests. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected topic, message, and any company or profile URL you provide. If you email us directly, we receive your email address, message, and any other information you include. We use this information to respond, investigate corrections, and maintain relevant correspondence. Contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to the Briefing.

Please do not send patient records, personal medical information, or confidential information through our contact form.

Technical information

Our hosting, security, database, form, and email providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect their services, such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, and delivery or error records.

To limit signup abuse, our subscription system uses a one-way identifier derived from your network address. The application stores that identifier for rate limiting rather than storing the raw network address in its signup rate-limit records. Our service providers may maintain their own operational logs.

Saved companies and comparisons

Save and Compare use your browser’s local storage to remember selected company identifiers. These selections can remain after you close your browser. They are specific to that browser and site address and are not synchronized to an account or stored in our subscriber database by these features.

You can remove selections using the site’s controls or clear them through your browser settings. Browser restrictions or private browsing may limit how long selections remain available.

Comparison links include selected company identifiers in the URL. If you share a comparison link, anyone who receives it can see those selections. Requests for URLs containing comparison selections may also appear in hosting or security logs.

Website analytics and privacy choices

Optional analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use MedTechIndex and to improve the site. We load analytics only after you choose Accept analytics. Rejecting analytics or leaving the choice unanswered keeps analytics off. Essential hosting, security, form, and subscription processing can still operate.

After acceptance, Google Analytics may process page visits, interaction events, referring pages, browser and device details, approximate location, and cookie identifiers used to distinguish visits. Network addresses are processed as part of delivering these services and deriving approximate location. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, contact-form messages, or newsletter confirmation tokens to Google Analytics. Email-address redaction is enabled to help prevent accidental collection, but automated redaction is not a guarantee that every identifier will be detected.

Advertising features. Google Signals and automatic user-provided-data collection are disabled. Our website consent configuration permits analytics storage after acceptance while keeping advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization denied. We do not use this configuration to run remarketing or targeted advertising.

Changing your choice. Use Privacy choices on the site or visit Privacy choices to accept, reject, or withdraw analytics consent. Withdrawing consent saves your new preference, clears accessible Google Analytics cookies, and reloads the page to stop the analytics tools. It does not erase data already collected. You can contact us about information previously collected, subject to our ability to identify it and applicable requirements.

Preference storage. Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for 180 days, together with the notice wording, notice version, choice time, and expiration. The browser also keeps a limited local history of up to 20 choices. We do not maintain a central database of these browser consent records. Clearing site storage, using another browser, or a change to the notice version can require a new choice. If the browser cannot save a choice, acceptance applies only to the current page and analytics remains off on a later visit unless you accept again.

Analytics preferences are separate from newsletter subscriptions and Save and Compare storage. Browser privacy signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control do not currently replace the site’s explicit analytics choice. You can keep analytics off using the rejection control or your browser’s blocking tools.

Analytics retention. Our GA4 user-level and event-level retention is set to 14 months, with resetting user-data retention on new activity turned off. Standard aggregated reports are not governed by that retention setting and may remain available for longer.

For details about Google’s handling of information from websites using its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Search performance. We use search-engine webmaster reporting tools to understand how our pages appear in search results, including impressions, clicks, search queries, and indexing issues. These reports describe search performance rather than providing us with the identities of individual people who searched for or visited our site.

Email delivery and engagement measurement

We use an email delivery provider to send subscription confirmations and the MedTechIndex Briefing. We process subscription and delivery records, including confirmation status, delivery attempts, bounces, complaints, and unsubscribe preferences, to administer the mailing list and protect deliverability.

Briefing emails may include open and link-click tracking. Open tracking uses a small remote image that can register when an email is loaded. Click tracking routes links through a tracking service before sending you to the destination. These features can associate email opens and clicked links with your subscriber email address or message identifier, including the time of the interaction and technical information processed by the email provider. We use this information to understand readership and improve the Briefing. Image caching, privacy protections, and automated security scans can affect the accuracy of these measurements; an open or click is not definitive proof that a person read a message.

The website’s analytics choice controls website analytics, not tracking embedded in emails. Blocking remote images in your email application may reduce open tracking but does not necessarily prevent link-click tracking. You can unsubscribe from future Briefing emails at any time or contact us about your information.

How we use and disclose information

We use personal information to operate and secure MedTechIndex, send requested communications, respond to inquiries, research and correct profiles, understand our readership, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

We disclose information to service providers that support these activities:

We use these providers to perform the functions described above. The information disclosed depends on the service: for example, mailing-list providers receive subscriber email addresses, while contact-form providers receive submitted messages and contact details.

We do not sell the Briefing mailing list. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or our rights, to address fraud or security incidents, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable law.

Reasons for processing

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for optional website analytics and newsletter subscriptions, and for email engagement measurement where consent is required. We also rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate business research, and preventing abuse, balanced against individuals’ rights. We may process information to meet legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

Information in company profiles

Our research may include professional information about company leaders and other business contacts, such as names, job titles, professional profile links, and business-related biographical details. We obtain this information from public sources, company materials, and information supplied to us.

We use professional information to identify people associated with the companies we cover and explain their roles. To request a correction or raise a privacy concern about published information, contact [email protected] and identify the relevant profile and information. We review requests in light of accuracy, editorial purpose, privacy interests, and applicable law.

How long we keep information

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including operating subscriptions, responding to correspondence, maintaining research records, preventing abuse, and meeting legal or recordkeeping obligations.

We may retain limited consent and unsubscribe records to document subscription choices and avoid sending unwanted emails. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours; link expiration does not by itself mean the associated signup record has been deleted.

Saved-company and comparison selections remain subject to your browser’s storage settings and your use of the site’s clearing controls.

Analytics retention and the duration of locally stored analytics choices are described in Website analytics and privacy choices above. Subscriber and email-engagement information is retained as reasonably needed to administer subscriptions and evaluate communications, subject to provider settings and applicable requirements. We may retain limited suppression records after an unsubscribe so that we do not add you back to the list unintentionally.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe from the Briefing, clear locally saved selections, or contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights, including rights to object to or restrict certain processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant privacy regulator.

Send privacy requests to [email protected]. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your request. Some information may need to be retained where permitted or required by law.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including access restrictions for subscription records. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We operate in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply to our handling of the information.

Children

MedTechIndex is intended for a professional and general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will post the revised policy with an updated date and provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
