Israeli device company developing and commercializing EndoZip, an automated endoscopic suturing system for sleeve gastroplasty.
Nitinotes Surgical is an Israeli medical device company based in Caesarea and led by CEO Lloyd Diamond. Founded in 2014, it develops EndoZip, an automated suturing system for endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, a minimally invasive obesity procedure performed through an endoscope.
EndoZip is designed to place a continuous suture pattern that reduces stomach volume without abdominal incisions. The system combines a suturing device with its delivery and control components, with the goal of making endoscopic gastroplasty more reproducible across operators.
The company announced CE marking in November 2025 and subsequently reported commercial procedures in Spain and France in 2026. In the United States, EndoZip remains investigational and is being evaluated in the EASE randomized clinical trial.
Nitinotes announced CE marking for EndoZip on November 6, 2025. The company subsequently reported European commercial procedures in Spain in April 2026 and France in June 2026. European commercial use does not establish U.S. marketing authorization. [5][3]
In the United States, EndoZip is investigational. The EASE trial evaluates EndoZip against endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty using Apollo ESG/OverStitch; trial participation should not be read as FDA marketing clearance. [1][2]
