Company overview

Healium Medical is a Yokneam, Israel medical device company founded in 2017 and led by co-founder and CEO Ran Sela. It develops miniature transcatheter ultrasound technology intended to combine therapeutic energy delivery with real-time imaging and tissue monitoring.

Its Echomplish platform combines a catheter, control hardware and procedure software. The dual-mode ultrasound approach is designed to create lesions without direct tissue contact while providing information about anatomy and treatment progress. The companyโ€™s current homepage highlights Echomplish RDN for renal denervation, an approach being developed for hypertension treatment.

Healium has also pursued atrial-fibrillation ablation through its EU-funded DMUT programme. That project reported animal-study results and engineering development through August 2025. The platform remains in development, with the renal-denervation and atrial-fibrillation applications requiring their own clinical and regulatory evaluation.

Summary

Echomplish is presented as a development-stage ultrasound ablation platform. Healiumโ€™s current materials highlight renal denervation for hypertension, while its EU-funded DMUT programme investigated atrial-fibrillation ablation. Evidence from one application should not be treated as validation or authorization of the other. [3][8][2]

The DMUT report covering September 2024 through August 2025 describes catheter and software development, acoustic measurements from more than 100 lesion points in animal studies, and circumferential pulmonary-vein ablation in an animal model. It identifies further procedure development, chronic evidence and financing as requirements before clinical studies. These are preclinical findings rather than demonstrated patient outcomes. [2]
